Office Assistant – Clinical Education

The Office Assistant is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, tracking, and maintaining education classes and records.  He/she schedules nursing preceptorships, clinicals, and shadow visits. This position takes notes at meetings, orders supplies, scans and prints documents, and communicates effectively with staff, instructors, and schools. Located in the Business Office, this position will greet and direct visitors and serve as a backup to the Executive Assistant. Number of Hours:  Part time: 24 hours/week Schedule:  Flexible. The Director of Finance is responsible for all financial, accounting, and budgeting functions and directs the preparation and maintenance of all fiscal records and systems. Director of Plant Operations

The Director of Plant Operations plans, schedules and supervises the maintenance and repair work of building/grounds and equipment.  He/she helps coordinate all aspects of building maintenance and repair, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and preventive maintenance.  This position interviews, trains, and schedules staff and conducts performance appraisals.  Number of Hours:  Full-time:  40 hours/week. Resident Associate Assistant – Landsmeer

The Resident Associate Assistant works closely with the Resident Associate supporting them in caring for Assisted and Independent Living facility tenants.  They assist with serving meals, cleaning of public areas in the facility, and apartments as needed, and laundry.   He/she assists tenants with some personal cares, and tending to tenants’ needs as they arise.  Number of Hours:  Casual 10-15 hours/week.  Schedule:  4:30pm to 9:30pm, 2-3 shifts a week, including rotating weekends.       Educational Requirements:  No education required, will train to meet job requirements. Oversees the daily operations of this Independent Living and Assisted Living retirement community.  As such s/he has responsibility for being the “face” of Landsmeer to the public – meeting with potential tenants, handling all screening and assessments as appropriate and providing day to day health support to tenants. The Cook prepares meals for patients, staff, visitors, and for special events/meetings.  The Cook will do food preparation in the kitchen and/or cafeteria grill area. As the AM Cook she/he prepares grill items and does food preparation for the next day.  The Cook serves customers and is involved in clean up.  He/she will cross- train to other dining services positions, including the grill and cook assist, at the hospital, Prairie Ridge, and Landsmeer Ridge. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics.
