The Salad Cook prepares the salads, the salad bar & desserts for patients, staff and visitors.  The Salad Cook is included in clean up and has responsibility for washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and doing assigned cleaning also.  He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and helps run the POS system in the cafeteria. The casual Salad Cook position will primarily focus on salad duties. Number of Hours:   Casual: 0-15 hours/week      Schedule:  6:30am – 2:30pm, every other weekend and holiday   Educational Requirements:  High school diploma desired.  He/she must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department. Other:   The applicant must have good customer service skills, be willing to fill in as needed and be a team player.  He/she must be well organized and able to follow directions.  Cooking experience a plus.

The Cook Assistant works with the cook to set up meal trays for patients. Oral Surgery RN

The Oral Surgery RN assists the Oral Surgeons with IV conscious sedation, oral surgery procedures, and assisting with clinic set-up and clinic clean up.  He/she prepares patients for the procedure and monitors the patient both pre & post procedure and prepares the patient for discharge.  The Oral Surgery RN will work closely with the Oral Surgery team to ensure overall flow of the clinic process. Number of Hours:  Casual:  0-15 hrs /week Schedule:   Every other Wednesday.  Hours vary dependent on cases for day. This person will also fill-in for vacations, illness and other absences.  Educational Requirements:  RN licensure. BLS & ACLS Other:   The Oral Surgery RN must work well with patients and staff in a professional and confidential manner.  He/she must be a good communicator. The Walk-In Clinic Receptionist greets and assists patients in person and on the phone, adds patients to the Walk-In Clinic schedule, transfers calls to nurse, collects payment, and verifies patient information. Orange City Area Health System is currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide direct care for all behavioral health disorders to patients of all ages. He/she provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients primarily within the medical clinic as part of integrated care, though services may also be requested in the hospital and emergency room. The psychologist will also provide behavioral health consultation for medical staff to improve patient health outcomes in all settings at the Orange City Area Health System. Ph.D. or Psy.D in psychology required, along with Iowa licensure and registration as a health service provider.

The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury; helps patients reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.  This is a generalist position with primary responsibilities for acute and skilled care level patients, home health patients, nursing home patients, and some general outpatients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The Hospital Paramedic provides direct patient care to patients requiring emergency treatment and transport, in the out of hospital setting, and during inter-facility transports.  He/she is an active member of the OCAHS ambulance team.  He/she assists with inpatient and outpatient services within his/her scope of practice to include assisting with respiratory treatments, EKG’s, injections, infusions, and patient monitoring during procedures.  He/she also assists with patient care in the emergency room. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics. Number of Hours: Casual:  0-12 hours/week Variable – no regular schedule. Up to 12 hours/week, working one weekend every 8-10 weeks. The ambulance is staffed by on-call EMTs 24/7.  The call schedule is flexible with other work/school schedules. The Home Health & Hospice Nurse works as a primary case manager for home health and hospice patients and families in their homes, nursing homes or inpatient facilities. He/she is responsible for providing assessment, interventions, evaluation of patient/family needs, care coordination and case management for his/her caseload of patients. Services are provided to those of all ages; infants to elderly. Number of Hours:  Part-Time:  16-31 hrs/week Full-time: 32-40 hrs/week Schedule:  8:00am – 4:30pm weekdays.  On-Call every 6th-7th weekend and holiday. 2 – 4 week nights of call per month.
