The Ultrasonographer performs quality patient imaging in a busy ultrasound practice.  Duties include (but are not limited to) OB imaging, abdomen, pelvis, soft tissue and vascular studies; assistance with ultrasound guided biopsies and procedures, and point of care muscoskeletal imaging and assistance. Number of Hours:  Part-Time: 15-31 hours/week Schedule: Varies. Day shifts with every 6th weekend call rotation (one hour maximum response time).  Fill in as needed, including potentially at outreach clinic. Home Health & Hospice Nurse

The Home Health & Hospice Nurse works as a primary case manager for home health and hospice patients and families in their homes, nursing homes or inpatient facilities. He/she is responsible for providing assessment, interventions, evaluation of patient/family needs, care coordination and case management for his/her caseload of patients. Services are provided to those of all ages; infants to elderly.   Number of Hours:  Full-time: 32-40 hrs./week Schedule:  8:00am – 4:30pm weekdays, generally 4 days/week.  On call every 8th weekend and holiday. 2-4 weeknights of call per month. Educational Requirements:  RN licensure Other:  Home Health or Hospice experience preferred, two or more years of nursing experience is also preferred.  Travel required within 30 mile radius of Orange City. Mileage for work-related travel reimbursed.

Medical Clinic Nurse – Mental Health

The Medical Clinic Nurse – Mental Health delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.  She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients.  The Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments working directly with a primary care physician. The Clinic Nurse would be orientated to work in the Medical Clinic and the Specialty Clinic. Number of Hours:  Part-time 15-31 hours a week Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am- 5pm. Nursing Assistant, Hospital

The Nurse Assistant provides all aspects of personal care to patients in the hospital including bathing, hygiene, nutritional assistance, activities, rehabilitation assistance etc. Number of Hours:  Full-time: 32-40 hours per weekPart-Time: 15-31 hours per weekCasual: 0-15 hours per week Schedule:   Full-Time: 4/5 shifts/week, 2pm or 3pm to 10pm and one Friday night every 6 weeks, plus holiday rotation.Part-Time: 2 shifts/week, 3pm – 11pm.  Every 6th weekend and one Friday night every 6 weeks, plus holiday rotation.Casual: Every 3rd Sat & Sun, either 7a-3p or 3p-11p with one Friday evening every 6 weeks, plus holiday rotation. Schedule:   No set schedule; fill in as needed for vacations, illness, and other absences. Educational Requirements:  LPN or RN licensure. Other:   Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 5-9pm and Weekends 1-9pm. The individual selected for this will have flexibility to shift trade, fill-in for vacations, illness, and other absences on an as needed basis.

Host/Hostess, Prairie Ridge Care Center

The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned.  She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks,  does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and  visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home.    Number of Hours:  Part-time:  16-24 hours/week   Casual:  0-15 hours/week                                  Schedule:    Part-time:  2:15pm – 10:00pm  2-3 shifts/week; every other weekend and holiday. Fill in for co-workers as appropriate. Casual: 6:30am – 2:15pm or 2:15pm – 10:00pm.  No regular schedule but fill in for co-workers as appropriate Educational Requirements:  High school diploma desired.  He/she must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department and a feeding class

Environmental Services Associate / Housekeeping

The Environmental Services Associate performs general housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and buffing floors, carpet care, washing windows, and other housekeeping related duties. The casual position includes cleaning the Orange City Medical Clinic and Hospital and other clinics (Mill Creek, Hospers, and Walk-In Clinic) Number of Hours:  Casual: 1-15 hours per week Schedule: Casual: Varies, includes some nights and weekends. Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist provides inpatient and outpatient respiratory treatment modalities.  This includes treadmills, respiratory treatments, pulmonary function tests, EKG’s, holter and event monitors.  He/she assists with emergent and routine care within the inpatient settings, OB and newborn, PACU, and med/surg. Number of Hours:  Variable (fewer than 15 hours/week on average) Schedule: Variable schedule and variable on-call hours. Educational Requirements:  Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications will be required. Other:  Required to be within 20 minutes range of the hospital when on call.

Orange City Area Health System is currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide direct care for all behavioral health disorders to patients of all ages. He/she provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients primarily within the medical clinic as part of integrated care, though services may also be requested in the hospital and emergency room. The psychologist will also provide behavioral health consultation for medical staff to improve patient health outcomes in all settings at the Orange City Area Health System. Ph.D. or Psy.D in psychology required, along with Iowa licensure and registration as a health service provider.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics. Number of Hours: Casual:  0-12 hours/week Variable – no regular schedule. Up to 12 hours/week, working one weekend every 8-10 weeks. The ambulance is staffed by on-call EMTs 24/7.  The call schedule is flexible with other work/school schedules. Educational Requirements:  He/she must be willing to attend or have attended an EMT class approved by the State of Iowa.  He/she must be/ become Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.

The Prairie Ridge RN/LPN acts a team leader at Prairie Ridge Care Center.  He/she administers med/treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24 – 48 residents.  Assesses resident needs, provides input to resident’s plan of care, and provides and documents resident care as identified on the plan of care. Number of Hours:  Full-time: 72 hours/pay period or Casual: 8 hours/pay period     Schedule:   Full-time: 3pm – 3am weekdays, every third weekend and holiday.
