The PM Grill Cook prepares grill items for hospital patients, staff and guests. He/she assists the cook as needed, washes dishes, cleans the kitchen, cafeteria and dining areas of the hospital. Number of Hours: Casual: 0-14 hours/week Schedule: Casual 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm, no set schedule – pick up shifts as needed. Every other weekend and holiday working salad. Educational Requirements: He/she must take Modified Diet and Sanitation self study courses within 3 months of hire. Must be able to read and understand directions and work independently. Previous grill experience desirable. Other: The applicant must have outstanding customer service skills, be consistently pleasant and able to converse with patients and visitors. He/she must be organized, have the desire to help others and see work needing to be done.
The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phone, registering patients, and conducting basic office duties such as copying, typing, assembling and other duties as assigned. This receptionist is located in the ER reception area and works closely with the ER staff and the Hospital nurses’ station. Confidentiality, professionalism and a high level of customer service is required. The Server/PM Assistant assists with meal set-up and serving beverages. He/she serves the meal, clears the tables, and cleans the dining room. He/she performs housekeeping and dishwashing duties. Number of Hours: Casual: 5-10 hours/week Schedule: Casual: Works 4:30pm – 7:00pm, 1-2 evenings a week, and every other weekend from 11:00am – 1:15pm, Saturday and Sunday. The Resident Associate cleans apartments, does flat linen laundry and personal laundry, makes beds, and cleans common areas in the building. He/she assists residents with minimum personal cares, and serves meals in the dining room. He/she also assists with recreational activities. Number of Hours: Full-time: 36 hours/week Schedule: 3-4 shifts/week; primarily 6 hour shifts from 6:00pm – 12:00am or 12:00 am – 6:00am, with occasional 12 hours shifts from 6:00pm – 6:00am. They assist with serving meals, cleaning of public areas in the facility, and apartments as needed, and laundry. He/she assists tenants with minimal personal cares, and tending to tenants’ needs as they arise. Number of Hours: Casual 0-15 hours/week. The Environmental Services Associate performs general housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and buffing floors, carpet care, washing windows and other housekeeping related duties. The casual position includes cleaning the Prairie Winds Event Center and the Orange City Area Health System medical clinic and hospital. Number of Hours: Casual: 1-15 hours per week Schedule: Flexible hours, times may vary. Evening and night hours at Prairie Winds Events Center. Every other weekend at the hospital, clinic, and/or Prairie Winds Events Center. Educational Requirements: High school education or equivalent. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse is responsible for patient assessments, triage, and coordination of care. Collaborates with the provider to plan, implement and evaluate care. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of walk-in patients and phone calls each day. She/he will be responsible for triaging walk-in patients, performing assessments, performing limited laboratory testing and carrying out various treatments plans ordered by the provider. She/he will also perform clerical work such as: verifying insurance, registration, and scheduling. Number of Hours: Casual 4-8 hours a week Schedule: 1-2 days during the week between 5pm-9pm; every 6th weekend, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-9pm Educational Requirements: LPN or RN licensure. The Home Health & Hospice Nurse works as a primary case manager for home health and hospice patients and families in their homes, nursing homes or inpatient facilities. He/she is responsible for providing assessment, interventions, evaluation of patient/family needs, care coordination and case management for his/her caseload of patients. Services are provided to those of all ages; infants to elderly. Number of Hours: Part-Time: 16-24 hrs/week Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm weekdays. On-call every 6th-7th weekend and holiday. 2-4 weeknights of call per month. Educational Requirements: RN, BSN preferred Other: Home Health or Hospice experience preferred, two or more years of nursing experience is also preferred. The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Host/Hostess is largely responsible for setting the welcoming, home like atmosphere in the cottage to which she/he is assigned. She/he sets tables, greets residents coming to the dining room, serves the meals, clears tables, runs the dish machine in the cottage, attends to assigned cleaning tasks, does scheduled activities with residents, serves snack times for residents, staff and visitors, and in general watches over and spends time with residents making the cottage a home. The Prairie Ridge RN acts a team leader at Prairie Ridge Care Center. He/she administers med/treatments and supervises and directs care for approximately 24 – 48 residents. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols. The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality care to the patient and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively.
