The Prairie Ridge Cottage Leader is responsible for the overall management of nursing services and resident care in his/her. She/he is responsible for completion of the MDS’s and Care Plans.  He/she also assists with the daily staffing in the cottage.   Number of Hours:  Full-time:  32 hours/week               Schedule:  8am to 4:30pm Mon, Tues, and Wed and every other Thu/Fri. On-call every 5th weekend. Educational Requirements: Graduate of approved Registered Nursing program. Current licensure in the State of Iowa. Other: S/he has primary responsibility for care of the residents in the cottage.  S/he must possess good communication skills and promote teamwork within the cottage.  He/she must be committed to Senior Care and ways to enhance the lives of the residents.

The Server assists with meal set-up by serving beverages. He/she serves the meal, clears the tables, and cleans the dining room. He/she performs housekeeping and dishwashing duties. Number of Hours: Casual: 5-10 hours/week Schedule: Casual: Works 4:30pm – 7:00pm, 1-2 evenings a week, and every other weekend from 11:00am – 1:15pm, Sat & Sun. Fill-in as needed for staff absences. Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeping)

The Environment Services Associate performs general cleaning duties which include but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and buffing floors, carpet care, washing windows and other housekeeping related duties. Activity Coordinator, Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community

The Activity Coordinator will work with the Activity Coordinator of Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) to create a dynamic program of activities for Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community (LRRC) tenants.  S/he will develop relationships with tenants so as to ensure the planned activities are ones tenants will enjoy but will also enable them to perhaps have new experiences and learn new things. S/he will organize and offer special occasion activities as appropriate for holidays, etc. S/he will be responsible to have all materials onsite for all activities and will lead the activities.  S/he will organize and do physical set up and take down of tables, chairs and equipment as needed for activities, working with other team members as appropriate.  This person will also plan and carry out the activity programming for the Skilled level of care patients at the OC hospital.  We would be open to training this person to also

Cook – PRCC

The Prairie Ridge Care Center (PRCC) Cook prepares meals for residents, staff and visitors.  He/she serves customers and is involved in clean up.  The Cook has responsibility for delivering food to the various cottages of PRCC, cleanup of cooking areas & items, operating the dish machine as needed, doing assigned cleaning and mopping as needed.  He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and services the Sidewalk Café window as needed.  He/she sets up, delivers, and cleans up for special dining events.   All cooks work all three shifts.   Number of Hours:   Full-time:  32 – 37.5 hours/week Schedule:    Full-time: 4 shifts one week; 5 shifts the following, alternating weekends (Sat & Sun 5:30a-1:30p) and alternating holidays.  We seek to train our cooks for all three shifts: 5am – 1 pm 11:15a – 7:15pm 11:30a – 7:30pm Fill in for co-workers as appropriate. The Medical Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.  She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients.  The Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments working directly with a primary care physician. The Clinic Nurse would be orientated to work in the Medical Clinic or Specialty Clinic. The Home Health & Hospice Nurse works as a primary case manager for home health and hospice patients and families in their homes, nursing homes or inpatient facilities. He/she is responsible for providing assessment, interventions, evaluation of patient/family needs, care coordination and case management for his/her caseload of patients. Services are provided to those of all ages; infants to elderly. Number of Hours:  Part-Time: 16-31 hrs/week Full-time: 32-40 hrs/week Schedule:  8:00am – 4:30pm weekdays. On-call every 6th-7th weekend and holiday. 2 – 4 week nights of call per month. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics.
