EMT/Ambulance Driver

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics.

Number of Hours: Casual:  0-12 hours/week

Variable – no regular schedule. Up to 12 hours/week, working one weekend every 8 weeks. The ambulance is staffed by on-call EMTs 24/7.  The call schedule is flexible with other work/school schedules.

Educational Requirements:  He/she must be willing to attend or have attended an EMT class approved by the State of Iowa.  He/she must be/ become Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
