Join a long term care facility that where the overriding concept is that Prairie Ridge Care Center is a HOME – and that means that the care and activities are resident-centeredThe Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides personal and supportive care to the residents to make this possible.  We are a team that is committed to assisting our residents to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.  PRCC is committed to providing consistent care for our residents which enriches the relationship between the CNA and resident. We also encourage the CNA to join with the residents in the many activities we offer.  Completion of a 75 hour CNA course is required.  Qualified candidates will be reimbursed for the cost of the course.  This may be a great career for you with potential for advancement or it may be an opportunity to gain experience in the healthcare field while furthering your education.  We offer flexibility in the number of hours you work in a week and 5 or 7.5 hour shifts.

Number of Hours: Full-time: 30–37.5 hours/week, or Part-time: 15 – 30 hours/week, or Casual: 0-14 hours/week

Schedule: Various shifts may be available. Day shift is 6:00 am-2:00 pm.  Evening shifts are either 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm or 4:30-9:30 pm.  Night shifts are 10:00pm- 6:00 am.  Positions include every other weekend and holiday. 

Educational Requirements: He/she must be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or be willing to complete the 75 hour CNA course. This does not need to be done in order to apply, but must be done within four months of employment.  If the selected candidate has not taken the course, the Orange City Area Health System will enroll the individual in the next class and pay the tuition.

Other:  The Nurse Assistant must be reliable, prompt and work in cooperation with team members.  He/she have a kind heart and patient, courteous manner.
