Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community was a busy place the afternoon of March 7, 2023, honoring our Veterans for their service and for being a part of the American Legion from both Orange City and Alton. Some of our veterans living at Landsmeer have been a part of the American Legion for 25, 60 and 75 years. Twelve residents were given a certificate of membership as a record of consistent loyalty to the American Legion. During the ceremony the new Post Commander, Kevin Huyser, was introduced, and the late Post Commander Arlyn Kleinwolterink was honored for his service and his family was recognized.
