Tree of Love event provides Christmas cheer
Residents at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City were treated to one of KTIV’s “Tree of Love” parties on Thursday, December 12. KTIV news anchors Matt Breen and Sheila Brummer were joined by Santa, leading the group in singing Christmas carols and sharing some holiday treats. Orange City Ambassadors helped pass out gifts from the Tree of Love, which had been housed in the Orange City Chamber office for area residents and businesses to choose a gift for each of the Prairie Ridge residents. “We are so grateful to the Chamber and all who participated in the ‘Tree of Love’ gift giving for our residents at Prairie Ridge Care Center,” said Char Ten Clay, Prairie Ridge Administrator. “Special thanks to KTIV and Mike Hofman (Chamber Executive Director) for arranging the event and to Mike for stepping in to be Santa Claus!” Char added, “We’re so fortunate to be part of such a caring, supportive community.” Prairie Ridge Care Center is northwest Iowa’s newest home for seniors, owned and operated by Orange City Area Health System.
