The Walk-In Clinic Nurse delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. She/he assists in patient teaching and is a link between the medical provider and patients. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of phone calls each day, in addition to meeting the needs of the patients with scheduled appointments. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse may be orientated to work in the Medical Clinic, Specialty Clinic or NW Surgery.
Number of Hours: Casual: 8-12 hours/week.
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday evenings 5-9pm (Weekly). Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 5-9pm and Sat & Sun 1-9pm. The individual selected for this role will have the ability for additional hours casually and demonstrate flexibility to shift trade, fill-in for vacations, illness, and other absences on an as needed basis.
Educational Requirements: LPN or RN licensure.
Other: The applicant must work well with patients, physicians, visiting physicians and staff in the utmost professional and confidential manner. Flexibility in job duties is a must. He/she must be a good communicator, good team player and be willing to participate in general nursing issues like immunization updates, infection control, etc.
