The Walk-In Clinic Nurse is responsible for patient assessments, triage, and coordination of care. Collaborates with the provider to plan, implement and evaluate care. The Walk-In Clinic Nurse responds to a high volume of walk-in patients and phone calls each day. She/he will be responsible for triaging walk-in patients, performing assessments, performing limited laboratory testing and carrying out various treatments plans ordered by the provider. She/he will also perform clerical work such as: verifying insurance, registration, and scheduling.
Number of Hours: Casual 4-8 hours a week
Schedule: 1-2 days during the week between 5pm-9pm; every 6th weekend, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-9pm
Educational Requirements: LPN or RN licensure.
Other: Previous clinic or hospital experience preferred but not required. The applicant must work well with patients, medical providers and staff in the utmost professional and confidential manner. Flexibility in job duties is a must. He/she must be a good communicator, good team player.
