Salad Cook, Hospital

The Salad Cook prepares the salads, the salad bar & desserts for patients, staff and visitors.  The Salad Cook is included in clean up and has responsibility for washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and doing assigned cleaning also.  He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and helps run the POS system in the cafeteria. The casual Salad Cook position will primarily focus on salad duties.

Number of Hours:        
Full-time:  32-40 hours/week
Part-time:  15-31 hours/week
Casual:  0-15 hours/week       

Schedule:  6:00am – 2:00pm during weekdays; every other Saturday 6:00am – 11:00am and Sunday 6:00am – 2:00pm.  Will be trained to work other shifts as well.  

Educational Requirements:  High school diploma desired.  He/she must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department.

Other:  The applicant must have good customer service skills, be willing to fill in as needed and be a team player.  He/she must be well organized and able to follow directions.  Cooking experience a plus.
