The Cook Assistant works with the cook to set up meal trays for patients. He/she delivers patient trays and is involved in clean up. The Cook Assistant has responsibility for washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and doing assigned cleaning. He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and helps in the cafeteria. May cross-train as a cook.
Number of Hours: Casual: 0-15 hours/week
Schedule: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm every other weekend and holiday and fill-in as needed. May cross-train to other shifts.
Educational Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age. He/she must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department.
Other: The applicant must have good customer service skills, be willing to fill in as needed and be a team player. He/she must be well organized and able to follow directions.
