The Respiratory Therapist provides inpatient and outpatient respiratory treatment modalities. This includes treadmills, respiratory treatments, pulmonary function tests, EKG’s, holter and event monitors. He/she assists with emergent and routine care within the inpatient settings, OB and newborn, PACU, and med/surg.
Number of Hours: Variable (fewer than 15 hours/week on average)
Schedule: Every 4th weekend on call from Friday at 5pm until Monday at 7am and holiday and as needed. Fills in for employees on vacation or leave and shifts unfilled.
Educational Requirements: Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications will be required.
Other: Required to be within 20 minutes range of the hospital when on call.
