Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community Manager

Oversees the daily operations of this Independent Living and Assisted Living retirement community.  As such s/he has responsibility for being the “face” of Landsmeer to the public – meeting with potential tenants, handling all screening and assessments as appropriate and providing day to day health support to tenants. The Manager oversees and provides direction to staff: Resident Associates, Nursing, Activities, Dining Services (which has a manager on-site), and Office staff, totaling approximately 30-35 employees. S/he is responsible for managing the operating budget and capital expenditure budget in cooperation with the Director of Senior Care, the manager’s immediate supervisor.  In close cooperation with the Director of Senior Care the manager sets the direction of any new and/or changing programming and services.

Number of hours:  Full time 40 hours per week; salaried.

Schedule:  Typically M-F from 8-4:30pm.   However, the manager is responsible for the overall operations of LRRC and as such may have to fill in for staff on occasion or work working extra for special events, etc.

Educational Requirements:  RN required, previous supervisory experience desired.

Other: The applicant must possess a strong commitment to this geographical area, working with senior citizens.  S/he must be personable, friendly and caring, with a good sense of humor. S/he must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-confidence, initiative, the ability to work independently, staff supervision skills and a supportive spirit.
