ORANGE CITY AREA HEALTH SYSTEM TAKING VACCINE APPOINTMENTS FOR RESIDENTS AGE 65+

Covid vaccine distribution to the 65 and older population to begin week of February 1

Update January 28, 2021
If you are 65 years of age or older, you may fill out the registration form at this link to get on a waiting list for your primary dose of the Moderna vaccine. If you prefer, you may call our clinic at 712-737-2000 Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm to be put on this wait list. If you are not 65+, please do not fill out this form or call us until you are eligible. We will update our Facebook page, website, and this waiting list when the state of Iowa notifies us that other phases or groups of people are eligible for vaccination. Please only sign up once. Depending on when the vaccine is available, you will be contacted to schedule your vaccination appointment for your primary dose. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Iowa residents age 65 and older are considered first priority for the next phase of COVID-19 vaccine administration. Orange City Area Health System will begin administering primary doses – by appointment — of the Moderna vaccine beginning the week of February 1, in their Orange City medical clinic. Residents age 65-plus may call the clinic at 712-737-2000 starting JANUARY 27 to schedule an appointment for their first dose of the vaccine. Appointments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis to this population, and will be based on anticipated supply of the vaccine in the weeks ahead. Two doses are required for this vaccine to achieve immunity. Upon receiving the primary dose, individuals will have an appointment scheduled approximately 28 days later for their booster dose. Orange City Area Health System is asking the public to please adhere to these state guidelines, as the health system’s patient base age 65-plus is over 3,000 individuals.
