Orange City Area Health System adds physical therapist

Pluim’s focus will be outpatient PT with an emphasis in sport and post-surgical rehab

JD Pluim, PT, DPT, joined the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Orange City Area Health System (OCAHS) in February. Dr. Pluim earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine in December of 2016. He graduated from Northwestern College of Orange City in May of 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science. Pluim recently served as a physical therapist for Therapeutic Health Services in LeMars. His primary practice at OCAHS will be in general outpatient physical therapy with an emphasis in sport and post-surgical rehabilitation. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, Pluim will empower his patients “to take control of their own health and well-being, as they rehabilitate from injury or illness.” He joins the health system’s team of 10 physical therapists, three occupational therapists, and five physical therapist assistants.
