VNUS Closure
Do you experience discomfort, swelling, and varicose veins?
Are you experiencing superficial venous reflux disease? This condition affects around 25 million people in the United States. Traditionally, vein stripping surgery was the only treatment option available for patients diagnosed with venous reflux. However, now there is a less painful and minimally invasive alternative called the VNUS® Closure® procedure. The before and after pictures demonstrate the remarkable results that can be achieved. Additionally, most patients can resume their normal activities within just one or two days following the procedure.
Understanding Venous Reflux Disease
Healthy leg veins contain valves that open and close to assist the return of blood back to the heart. Venous reflux disease develops when the valves that keep blood flowing out of the legs and back to the heart become damaged or diseased. As a result, vein valves will not close properly, leading to symptoms of:
- Varicose veins
- Pain
- Swollen limbs
- Leg heaviness and fatigue
- Skin changes and skin ulcers
Superficial venous reflux disease is progressive – symptoms can worsen over time if left untreated.
