Our General Surgery team collaborates closely with the Beyond Pink team to provide comprehensive care before and after your mastectomy surgery. During your appointment with one of our highly skilled General Surgeons, a Nurse from NWS Clinic will be present to assist you in finding a camisole bra that fits you perfectly and initiate the process of referring you to Beyond Pink. Additionally, our team will provide you with a comprehensive and informative guide called "Living Beyond Breast Cancer," which contains valuable information to assist you throughout your journey with breast cancer. This guide includes managing side effects, nutrition, and emotional support. After your mastectomy, Beyond Pink will arrange a private measurement session in the comfort and privacy of your own home to customize prosthetics for you. This is typically scheduled around one month following the surgery to ensure that you have sufficient time to heal and recover. The prosthetics are custom-designed to fit your unique body shape and size, providing comfort and confidence during your recovery period. At every step of the way, our team is dedicated to ensuring that you receive the best possible care and support. We understand that facing breast cancer can be overwhelming, but we are here to support you and help guide you through this challenging journey.
