Get heart healthy during American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month, and the perfect time to get heart healthy! During the first week, the PuddleJumper Grille at the hospital is serving up heart-healthy selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Friday, we celebrate National Wear Red Day. (See https://www.goredforwomen.org/). Then mark your calendars and plan to attend a special heart health event on Monday, February 22. Dr. Richard Gitter, Mercy Medical Center Director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery – one of our valued outreach physicians – will present to the public in our Specialty Clinic waiting area. The free, educational evening will begin at 6pm with heart-healthy refreshments, blood pressure screenings, CPR training, and a variety of informative displays. Dr. Gitter’s presentation will follow at approximately 6:30.
