“Evening Especially for Women” slated for Oct. 18

Health system hosts 11th annual event

Orange City Area Health System will host the 11th annual “Evening Especially for Women” on Tuesday, October 18, at Sioux Golf & Country Club in Alton. This year’s theme is “The Beauty Within” and features keynote speaker Stacy Besch. The evening begins when doors open at 5:15 for an appetizer buffet and a vendor display. Presentations begin at 6pm and include Besch’s “Beautiful People are Made, Not Born,” as well as a scarf tying demonstration and the opportunity for free skin cancer screenings by Dr. Mark Turek from 5:15 to 7pm. Vendors offering fun stuff for sale include Usborne Books and More, Scentsy, The Pampered Chef, Blessings Unlimited, OCAHS Gift Garden, Purse-n-ality, Thirty-One Gifts, Paisley Handmade, Party in a Bag. The cost is $10 per person, which includes the appetizer buffet by Blue Mountain Culinary Emporium and a complimentary beverage of your choice.  Seating is limited. Tickets are available at the health system Emergency Room reception desk.
