High School Health Careers Exploration Day

Notice: this class is full for this year.

What is it?
Orange City Area Health System sponsors this program, entitled “Health Careers Exploration for High School Students” once a year. This 3-1/2 hour program is for any area high school student who has an interest in healthcare and wants to learn more about the many job opportunities in the healthcare field.

The program includes tours of various departments and conversations with many of our healthcare providers. You will hear a wide range of information – from what it takes to be a med tech, to a day-in-the-life of a family practice provider, to the rewards of working in senior care, to the highs and lows of being an EMT. Students will also learn about the many “non-medical” careers in a healthcare system.

To facilitate the best learning experience, class size may be limited. If needed, preference will be given to juniors and seniors, but all grade levels are welcome to register.

Registration information

NOTE: the class is full and we are not accepting any more registrations for this year. Thank you!
