Health Information Medical Secretary

The Health Information Medical Secretary is responsible for retrieving, assembling, and reviewing dismissal charts from the previous day. The Medical Secretary thoroughly analyzes the medical record for completeness and assigns appropriate deficiencies. He/She will scan and index medical records into the EMR. The Medical Secretary is also responsible for answering the phone in Health Information. Other duties include processing Release of Information requests, including the tracking, fulfilling, and responding to all health records requests for release of information.

Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm


Education Requirements:

High school education or equivalent. Secretarial or Health Information training preferred. Computer experience necessary and office experience preferred.

Job Schedule:

Full-time: 32 hours/week. 8:00am - 4:30pm and fill in as needed.
