Home Health & Hospice Aide

The role of the Home Health & Hospice Aide is to provide compassionate personal care to those who require home health and hospice services. The duties of the aide will include bathing, dressing, exercising, toileting, as well as providing comfort and supportive care. In addition, the aide will be responsible for meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing respite care. The goal of the aide is to make a positive difference in the lives of those they serve. All age ranges are served (children to elderly). Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license to care for those living within a 30-mile radius of Orange City. Previous CNA or caregiving experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this position must be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), or should be willing to complete the 75-hour CNA course. Completing the course is not mandatory during the application process, but it must be completed within four months of employment. If the selected candidate has not taken the course, the Orange City Area Health System will enroll the individual in the next available class and pay the tuition fees.

Job Schedule:

Full-Time: 32-40 hours/week. Part-Time: 16-24 hours/week. Casual: 8-12 hours/week. Monday through Friday, flexible schedule with varying daytime hours. Occasional weekends and every third holiday.
