Yoga Class Descriptions

Moon Yoga
This class focuses on standing and seated poses that release the hips and legs while stabilizing the side body through a series of lateral movements. Nice option for anyone interested in a bit slower-paced class.

Rise & Shine Yoga
An ideal start to the day with it’s warming and invigorating nature; the Sun Salutes build strength, endurance and mental focus. All Levels welcome, yet expect a bit of a challenge.

Pilates Mat (pronounced Pi-LAH-teez)
A form of exercise that focuses on strengthening of the core postural muscles and is a wonderful complement to your yoga practice. Appropriate for everyone.

Yoga Nidra
A form of guided meditation which is meant to soothe the nervous system
and create a state of inner peace and tranquility.

Restorative Yoga
A gentle, therapeutic style of yoga that uses props to support the body and deepen the benefits of the poses. It is a soothing and nurturing practice that promotes the effects of conscious relaxation.

Rae Minten, Experienced Yoga Instructor, offers Yoga and Pilates at Orange City Area Health System’s Downtown Campus.

On occasion, Rae will offer a 2+hr yoga workshop. Workshops are a lovely opportunity to break down certain postures, themes and/or concepts. A standard yoga class follows a typical structure whereas in a workshop, there’s the luxury to immerse deeper in the practice and allows for greater inquiry and understanding.
