Resident Associate Assistant – Landsmeer

The Resident Associate Assistant works closely with the Resident Associate supporting them in caring for Assisted and Independent Living facility tenants.  They assist with serving meals, cleaning of public areas in the facility, and apartments as needed, and laundry.   He/she assists tenants with some personal cares, and tending to tenants’ needs as they arise.  Number of Hours:  Casual 10-15 hours/week.  Schedule:  4:30pm to 9:30pm, 2-3 shifts a week, including rotating weekends.       Educational Requirements:  No education required, will train to meet job requirements. The Inventory Assistant is responsible for filling requisitions and delivering supplies to the requesting department.  He/she is responsible for unpacking, verifying, marking and stocking materials/supplies received.  This position will work with staff throughout the hospital, clinic and care centers.  A high level of courtesy and a customer service-oriented attitude is required for this position. The Cook prepares meals for patients, staff, visitors, and for special events/meetings.  The Cook will do food preparation in the kitchen and/or cafeteria grill area. As the AM Cook she/he prepares grill items and does food preparation for the next day.  The Cook serves customers and is involved in clean up.  He/she will cross- train to other dining services positions, including the grill and cook assist, at the hospital, Prairie Ridge, and Landsmeer Ridge. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides patient care in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers, according to Orange City Area Health System Ambulance protocols.  The EMT will work as a team member with other EMTs and Paramedics.
